What Serenity Brings to the Leander ISD School Board
Serenity Coats is a financial educator and counselor with professional experience in education policy, research, and student support. Her diverse background combines expertise in education, financial counseling, workforce development, and operations.
Professional Experience
Serenity's career spans education policy and research, school counseling, financial counseling, training and development, and logistics and supply chain management. Her multidisciplinary experience has equipped her with a broad understanding of educational systems, organizational operations, and community engagement.
Community and Military Family Service
As the spouse of a military service member for more than two decades, Serenity has experienced the unique challenges and opportunities of military family life. Throughout that time, she has worked and volunteered with school districts, nonprofit organizations, corporate employers, and military support organizations across the country.
Volunteer Leadership
Serenity is an active volunteer who provides financial coaching through nonprofit organizations and serves on local school district educational advisory committees, supporting students, families, and educators in her community.
